On this page, you'll learn:
Priceline's vacation advantages
- Depart from nearly any airport in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
- Leave any day and stay as long as you wish.
- Travel on a full service major airline. (Priceline does not use charter airlines, which can be less reliable.)

for details.)

Priceline's vacation disadvantages
- Once you give your credit card number, your trip becomes completely nonrefundable (Priceline does offer cancellation insurance for specific situations).
- You cannot make changes. No exceptions.
- Your Las Vegas departure could be scheduled for any time between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., with an arrival as late as 12:30 a.m., unless you give permission for "red eye" flights in order to get a better price.
You may choose specific flight times by paying extra.
- Priceline.com Vacations
gets you fabulous deals on deluxe and luxury hotels and resorts in Las Vegas, BUT these places may have extra charges that are higher than you are used to paying. You can avoid some charges, such as telephone tolls and room service, by not using these services. But you may have to pay others, such as parking fees.
- You may not receive frequent flyer credit.

Tips for getting the best discounts on your vacation
For the best prices on last-minute weekend travel, see Priceline Weekender packages below.
For the best prices on most trips,
- Be flexible with your travel dates!
Las Vegas hosts many conventions and special events such as championship boxing. You must work around these for biggest discounts.
- Avoid leaving Las Vegas on Sunday.
- Avoid the busiest times of peak seasons, such as the 4th of July and New Year's weekends.
- Travel and stay midweek if possible.
- Book at least 3 days in advance, if possible.
- Depart, if possible, from a "competitive" airport -- an airport not dominated by just one non-budget airline.
- Consider staying near, but not on "the Strip" for extra discounts.
It's fun to be right on the Strip, but the nearby Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino is first class in every way, and attracts lively local "twentysomethings" who flock to dance and mingle at its Club Rio and VooDoo Lounge. Its 2500 rooms sit within a mile of the heart of the Strip. Featured on MTV's Real People, the Palm makes another good off-Strip choice.
- Consider staying at the most deluxe strip hotels when available.
Some like the luxurious Venetian (a priceline customer favorite) have astromonical "listed" prices, especially on weekends, BUT often really have to "deal" (especially at the last minute) in order to fill their rooms.
