Las Vegas hosts many conventions and special events, such as championship boxing.
You need to work around these for biggest discounts.
- Avoid travelling on Sunday. (Everyone needs to rush home in order to be at work on Monday.)
- Travel midweek, if possible.
From most places, you need not stay over a Saturday night for a good rate.
In fact, doing so can significantly increase your hotel cost.
Nearly always, Vegas hotels charge most for Friday and Saturday nights and least for Sunday through Wednesday. Costs go up a bit Thursday.
