Just because you’re booking at the last minute does not mean you have to pay a lot or jump through hurdles to receive a multiple-entry Australian tourist visa valid for up to three-month stays within a 12-month period.
In fact, Americans, Canadians, and various other nationalities can apply online, with instant approval, for Australian $20.00.
Note that electronic application works for tourist visas only. You won’t receive a stamp in your passport prior to arriving in Australia. Moreover, if you live in a country different from your passport, you won’t be able to apply online.
We urge you to print out your visa confirmation and to take it with you.
Visit the Australian Department of Immigration website for more information.
We wish all countries had such an enlightened visa process.
