A 15-minute cab ride from Antigua in Guatemala takes you to an amazing macadamia farm called Valhalla Finca de Macadamia (Valhalla Macadamia Estate). Run by an eccentric and funny man from Northern California and his beautiful and bright Guatemalan wife, Valhalla makes for an enjoyable and unique half-day trip from Antigua. Hundreds of varieties of plants grow throughout the farm, and dispersed around the land are healthy and strong macadamia trees producing the most delicious macadamia nuts I have ever tasted.
Valhalla offers very informative tours in Spanish or English explaining the process in which macadamia nuts are grown, harvested, shelled, dried, and roasted and how their farm is doing all of this in the most sustainable way possible.

They serve absolutely delicious macadamia pancakes made from macadamia flour and topped with homemade macadamia butter and jam. Enjoy some in the garden with a cup of coffee and you'll be in heaven.

Valhalla also gives complimentary macadamia oil facials and massages and offer samples of all their macadamia products and chocolates.

Hop on any “chicken bus” from Antigua going towards San Miguel Duenas, and tell the driver you're going to "Las Macadamias". The driver will know where to drop you. Or take a taxi from Antigua and tell the driver that you're going to "La Finca de Macadamia circa San Miguel Duenas." The driver will also know where to take you.
